YOUR FUTURE ROLE
As a (Junior) DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) in T&I Cloud Operations HANA, you are responsible for providing high-quality cloud services for SAP’s customers. You work with cloud engineers and developers of multiple teams at SAP to ensure high availability rates and drive continuous improvements for the services of the SAP Business Technology Platform.
 
Responsibilities also include:

• Support SAP development teams across the globe in bringing new cloud services to customers. 
• Define and improve processes for fast handling of cloud incidents.
• Increase efficiency by automating operations processes.
• Drive root cause analysis for incidents, and preventive actions.
• Orchestrate software lifecycle events to maximize service availability.
• Facilitate fast and reliable customer communication.
• Provide transparent reporting about service availability.
• Ensure successful auditing of operations processes.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies
• One to three years of experience in cloud operations or development
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong networking skills
• Passion for working with multi-cultural and multi-national teams across time zones
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work under time pressure
• Fluent English and German language skills are mandatory

ABOUT THE TEAM 
The Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area is responsible for SAP Business Technology Platform - the platform for the Intelligent Enterprise that includes technologies like SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics, and Intelligent Technologies. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.

Our T&I Cloud Operations team, with locations in Bengaluru, Sofia, Walldorf, Berlin, and Vancouver, is responsible for the operations of all T&I cloud services delivered to our internal and external customers. This includes the operations of SAP Business Technology Platform. We work closely with all T&I engineering teams according to the DevOps principles. Our team in Berlin is the main proxy towards the SAP HANA management and engineering teams.
