WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Turret Systems Engineering Lead is responsible for:
- Undertaking system level analysis through to specification of sub-system requirements into the internal design team and sub-contractors
- Requirements analysis and sub-system specification for the Turret and its Subsystems systems within the overall system design
- Deriving requirements to achieve overall turret performance, providing assurance of meeting key performance requirements (PHit, Protection, DRI) through analysis and test
- Managing the behavioural performance of the turret system including architectural modelling, use cases, system task analysis and functional flow block diagrams
- Development of interface requirements specifications between Hull, Turret, Electrical and Electronic Architecture, Weapon, Sensor and Survivability subsystems
- Defining appropriate engineering performance measures (e.g. mass, power, etc), allocating performance budgets to the engineering work packages, and ensuring that the required performance levels are achieved for these work packages
- Managing the Commonwealth design review process including preparation of packages for the various Mandated Systems Review activities
- Definition and development the Verification and Validation methods in close cooperation with the V&V Manager to ensure the turret systems satisfies all contract requirements
- Ability to interface with speciality subject matter experts for FEA, Operational Environment, EMC, Human Factors, Safety, Environmental and Legislation to develop sub sets of derived requirements
- Identification of key risks, issues and develop mitigations as necessary
