Engineer/Technician (m/f/d) for the development and support of iron casting suppliers in Düsseldorf

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Worldwide selection, development, auditing and approval of iron foundries for pistons
• Assessment of material problems in production and implementation of quality decisions
• Planning and execution of supplier audits
• Technical support of foundries in terms of material and product requirements
• Quality responsibility, implementation of quality objectives in the area of responsibility and continuous improvement
• Teamwork with other departments
• Reporting to the quality manager and the BU management
• Regular communication with suppliers to ensure the exchange of information regarding new products, quality problems and technical changes
• Tracking the development in the elimination of quality problems of suppliers
• Cooperation in the creation and updating of quality regulations for suppliers
• Support, testing and evaluation from sample delivery to series release
• Technical support of specialist departments for questions about cast products

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Completed technical studies (e.g. foundry engineering) or completed training as a technician or master craftsman (m/f/d)
• Proved qualification as foundry specialist
• Founded knowledge of cast iron materials, their production techniques, metallurgy and testing techniques
• Management skills, social skills, ability to work in a team, intercultural skills, communication skills
• Knowledge for the interpretation of simulation results (magma, or similar)
• Mastery of presentation techniques
• Ability to explain technical content and procedures
• Good knowledge of German and English, written and spoken
• Worldwide travel readiness
