PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Mission of the Product Engineering - Industry & Cross Development team is to accelerate customer value and growth in various industries. Our team is involved in various evolving topics like Big Data Analytics, Industry Cloud Solutions & S/4 HANA applications.
A new fully digitized and integrated Business Suite – SAP S/4HANA – is a key pillar of SAP’s strategy. It is essential for our success that SAP S/4HANA becomes the most widely adopted business platform in the industry to manage our customers digital transformation in the cloud as well as in on premise.
The mission of S/4HANA Application Move Program is an essential part of this strategy:

• Safeguard and expand our installed base and enable our customers to transition to the Intelligent Enterprise
• Make S/4HANA our customers next ERP platform - leaving no one behind

Therefore, we need to make S/4HANA attractive as the next generation business suite with a clear value proposition. With the new product we are targeting an installed base of around 25,000 SAP ECC customers with the goal to move them easily to S/4HANA plus net new customers. Our key task is to ensure that the focus on S/4HANA is channeled in the most impactful areas to deliver the next generation, Intelligent Enterprise Suite.

We are looking for a strong, self-motivated, passionate person to join our Knowledge Management team as an Information Developer (Technical Writer). Your first working area will be HCM (Human Capital Management) Development. 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Your job will be to ensure that exactly the right information is available in the right place, at the right time; the customer will benefit from concise and accurate documentation that clearly describes the functions provided by the SAP solutions.
Your tasks will include:

• Creating UA deliverables in close cooperation with software developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to enable users to deploy, administer, and use the SAP software
• Ensuring that the UA deliverables are of high quality, adhere to standards and   guidelines, and are written in appropriate style and tone for product and target market
• Defining simple, consistent terminology that conforms to industry standards
• Acting as an advocate for an excellent user experience
• Proofreading and editing content for usability, readability, and linguistic correctness

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• A good university degree in technical communication or a related subject or a language-based university degree
• Ideally first-language proficiency in English, or excellent written and spoken skills in English, with excellent written and spoken skills in German
• The ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
• Outstanding communication and writing skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality
• Flexibility and a readiness to communicate with other team members and to participate in knowledge transfer
• Willingness to acquire product knowledge and learn new skills at short notice
• Good organizational skills

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of documentation standards (e.g. DITA)
• Knowledge of documentation tools
• Familiarity to HCM domain would be an added advantage
