The Chair of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technological Transformation invites applications for the position of

Research Assistant / Doctoral Student (f/m/d)

located at WHU Campus Vallendar, starting September 1, 2021.

Academic Environment
WHU has more than 50 faculty members in the fields of management, finance and accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Research at WHU aims to adhere to three principles: quality, internationality, and relevance to business practice.

Job Description

  • Your will engage in a Ph.D. research project that fits in the research stream of the Chair
  • You will support the Chair’s teaching activities in the BSc and MSc program
  • You will strive to publish your research papers in international refereed journals
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute to activities within the WHU Ecosystem Innovation Hub and the WHU Entrepreneurship Center
  • You will use quantitative methods for your own empirical research project
Job Qualifications

  • You have an excellent MSc degree (or equivalent university-level diploma) in Management, Business Psychology, Business Engineering, or Data Science
  • You have an interest in applying machine learning and/or natural language processing for research activities
  • You have at least basic experience with Python or similar coding languages
  • You are experienced in quantitative research methods (for instance, you have conducted a quantitative study for your MSc thesis)
  • You are interested in the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation
