Global Category Manager Procurement - Value Engineering Packaging in Hamburg

Significant and continuous delivery of productivity is an essential pillar of Beiersdorf’s CARE+ Strategy. It will serve to fuel growth and to increase the profitability of our brands. The Beiersdorf board has empowered a cross-function value engineering team to lead this productivity initiative. The job holder will play a critical role in driving the productivity pipeline in Global Packaging.

• Contribution to Beiersdorf’s Value Engineering Strategy identifying key value optimization levers, benchmarking externally and internally, leading lighthouse projects and ensuring sustainable implementation
• Investigate global value trends, methods and processes
• Un-fold full supplier potential to Beiersdorf Value Engineering Initiative
• Analyze product value chains, derive material value strategies including management summaries

• Successfully completed university studies
• First years of work experience; e.g. in the field of procurement, controlling, packaging development
• Successful track record of cross-functional projects, strong stakeholder management
• Good understanding of material technologies, production processes, consumer needs, project management and negotiation skills
• Experience in cost optimization initiatives
• Assertiveness pared with people skills
• Strong analytical, judgement and presentation skills
• Team player with work experiences in an international environment
• Strong communicator with good convincing skills and organizational savvy
• Fluent in spoken and written English, further languages like German are a plus
