Database Administrator (m/f/d) Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Germany Employee Software Development Your Responsibilities As a Database Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the stable and secure operation of our Oracle databases. You will work in a high-availability environment and use your expertise to ensure that our systems run smoothly and are continuously improved. Core & High Availability: You will be responsible for the operation of our Oracle environment (focus on 19c) as well as backup via Data Guard. OS & Infrastructure: You are proficient with the Linux operating system, optimize kernel parameters for database operations, and use the shell for efficient management. Proactive Monitoring: You ensure availability through comprehensive monitoring, identify bottlenecks before they arise, and continuously refine our monitoring strategies. Concept & Project Work: You develop well-founded technical concepts for our long-term modernization and migration projects Analysis & Troubleshooting: When complex challenges arise, you’re the go-to expert for troubleshooting Storage Architecture: You plan resource allocation and ensure the reliable restoration and recovery of our data using RMAN. Nice-to-Have: Smart Operations: You’ll have the freedom to streamline routine tasks through automation (e.g., via Ansible) to free up time for strategic tasks. Your Profile Experience: You are an experienced database administrator with an analytical approach and in-depth knowledge of the Linux environment. As a young professional, we offer you intensive mentoring, guiding you step by step through enterprise features and OS optimization; as a seasoned professional, you value in-depth technical collaboration within the team. Specialized Knowledge: You have (initial) in-depth experience with the interaction between Data Guard and RMAN, or you’re eager to deepen your knowledge in this area.
