Software/Platform Engineer, Life Insurance (f/m/d)

Here’s what you can look forward to

• Development and enhancement of a modern, service-oriented IT landscape for the life insurance division
• Maintenance, support, and continuous optimization of server, software, and middleware systems
• Platform engineering and development in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
• Implementation of new architectures (virtualization, cloud, and container technologies)
• Ensuring stable and reliable operations while maintaining availability and adhering to relevant IT security requirements
• Automation of recurring tasks using modern CI/CD and GitOps toolchains (Jenkins, Ansible, Argo CD, Git)
• Documenting and optimizing processes and workflows within the team

Your Profile

• Degree in (Business) Computer Science or training as an IT specialist with several years of professional experience in the IT field
• Extensive experience in the operation and further development of distributed architectures
• Excellent knowledge of administering Linux and Windows systems as well as application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat
• Knowledge of container orchestration and Kubernetes platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of developing scalable microservices (REST, OpenShift, deployment processes, etc.) is desirable
• Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and a proactive approach, combined with a strong commitment to process automation
• Strong capacity for innovation, openness to new technologies, and the ability to work independently and take initiative
