IT Coordinator for Clinical Information Systems (m/f/d)

This position combines strong communication skills, coordination abilities, an understanding of processes, and a basic technical understanding. We are looking for someone who can act as a liaison between users, departments, IT teams, and external service providers, and who can bring together technical and organizational issues in a structured manner.

The focus is on the coordination, further development, and integration of clinical applications and digital processes. This involves not only technical systems but, above all, understanding requirements, bringing stakeholders together, making solutions transparent, and reliably supporting their implementation.

This role is explicitly intended to be part of a collaborative team effort. Stable operations, good user support, functioning interfaces, and successful digitalization can only be achieved through close coordination, mutual support, and transparent collaboration within the KIS team.

Requirements and Skills:

  • You hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • Experience with or interest in coordinating technical, organizational, or process-related topics
  • Understanding of workflows in a hospital setting or a willingness to thoroughly familiarize yourself with clinical and administrative processes
  • Basic understanding of or interest in clinical information systems, interfaces, databases, and IT operational processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly when collaborating with departments, users, IT teams, management, external partners, and the hospital information system (HIS) team
  • A structured, solution-oriented, and reliable approach to work, as well as the ability to convey complex issues in a clear and audience-appropriate manner
  • Organizational skills, a sense of responsibility, interpersonal skills, and pragmatism, even when requirements are unclear

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination between business departments, internal IT teams, external service providers, and user groups
  • Capturing, structuring, and evaluating business requirements and translating them into technically and organizationally feasible solutions
  • Supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of digital projects, as well as the introduction of new medical or IT-related devices and applications
  • Coordination of updates, migrations, testing, and acceptance procedures in collaboration with business units, the IT department, and external partners
  • Facilitation and moderation of coordination meetings, workshops, and working groups
  • Analysis and documentation of clinical and administrative processes with the goal of making workflows more understandable, efficient, and reliable
  • Contributing to the standardization, stabilization, and further development of clinical IT and digitalization processes
