The Aggerverband, headquartered in Gummersbach, is a public-law corporation established under special legislation as a water management association. In our 1,100 km catchment area, which stretches from Meinerzhagen to Siegburg, our 400 employees perform all tasks related to water management.

For the Finance, IT, and Administration Department, ICT Division, we are seeking to fill the following position as soon as possible:

IT System Administrator & Application Developer (m/f/d)

This is a permanent, full-time position. Part-time employment is generally possible.

The following tasks await you:

• Application Development
• Maintenance and development of websites and internal applications (PHP, HTML, CSS, JS) as well as shell scripting for automation
• Network Engineering and Administration
• Planning, implementation, and optimization of our network infrastructure (routing, switching, Wi-Fi, microwave links)
• System administration
• Installation and maintenance of the Linux server environment and management of databases (MySQL, MSSQL) and line-of-business applications
• IT Security and Data Backup
• You are responsible for the backup concept (SEP-Sesam), the public key infrastructure, and system monitoring using monitoring tools (Naemon)
• Support and Communication
• Providing first- to third-level support to users

How to impress us:

• A successfully completed bachelor's degree in computer science or, alternatively, an apprenticeship as an IT specialist (system integration/application development) with several years of professional experience and comparable continuing education
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies (PHP, JS) and Java
• Proficiency with Linux systems and in-depth network knowledge (routing, DMZ, firewalling)
• Solution-oriented and structured approach to work
• You maintain a clear overview even when dealing with complex support issues
• Professional demeanor, service orientation, team spirit, and a willingness to take responsibility for the stability of our critical infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and take personal responsibility
• Willingness to perform field service within the association's territory

• Class B driver's license
