Your job         

- Guide: Lead the development team (front and backend), share knowledge, help and mentor colleagues, improve workflows and guarantee code quality
- Solve: Identify problems, come up with solutions, and assist in planning the measures necessary to implement them; Analyze and optimize high-performance and high-traffic systems
- Build: Contribute your expertise towards the product strategy and technical vision of the game, set up our titles for the future; coordinate and carry out complex projects involving neighboring departments


Your profile

General Skills:

- You have at least 10 years of software development experience
- You have at least 5 years of experience in JAVA
- You have a degree (preferably a Master) in computer science, media informatics, or a similar educational background
- You have a track record as an expert in your field
- You find uncommon solutions to challenging tech topics in multiplayer gaming

Specific Skills:

- Experience in a leadership role and project planning
- Leading by example with a high level of initiative, creativity, and independence
- Many years of professional experience with large software projects (Java and similar languages), ideally in game development
- Very skilled at OOP, design patterns, databases (SQL), multi-threading, and data structures
- Excellent knowledge of the Java memory model
- Experience with continuous integration, agile development, Linux, run-time and storage optimization, and with developing client-server applications
- Good knowledge of UI technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, etc.) would be helpful
- Excellent written and spoken English. German is a plus
