Intern/ Working Student (f/m/d): Big Data in SAP Cloud Platform in Walldorf

Our team is responsible for open source Big Data technologies within the SAP Cloud Platform, most prominently Kafka, Spark and Cassandra. We are committed to open source, agile development, close collaboration, continuous learning and blameless team culture.


We are looking for curious, open-minded and self-motivated students who want to dive deeper into the industry changing Big Data domain. Ideally you have some first hands-on experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, containers or Big Data and are excited about the potential and possibilities these technologies offer. 
With the wide variety of technologies and programming languages we use in our team, you will benefit from a broad range of learning possibilities. As a student you will work in the domain of Big Data technologies, likely getting to know Kafka better by implementing new connectors for Kafka Connect to move data between Apache Kafka® and other systems.


  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study:  computer science or related discipline
  • Computer skills:  advanced Linux/Unix and mastery of one of Java, Python, JavaScript, Go 
  • Language skills: English, German 
  • Soft skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Others: will to use, learn and contribute to open source

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
