WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The IT Manager is responsible for the identification, implementation, and security of effective and reliable information technology systems to maximize business productivity for all business units.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Work with Finance to create annual budgeting for all IT related expenses 
  • Identifies, selects, and maintains software and hardware systems that integrate all company software, hardware and telecommunication systems and ensures optimal uptime performance 
  • Develop configuration and performance standards for network, and implements and monitors controls to ensure they are maintained 
  • Manage back up and data security functions as required 
  • Assists all intercompany groups in using information systems to improve operational efficiency 
  • Provide help desk support for software and hardware related issues to all group users 
  • Analyze computer software and hardware problems, recommend and initiate solutions to address current issues and prevent future problems 
  • Research and approve all business requirements prior to the technical solution selection and implementation and participates in all hardware/software evaluations 
  • Maintains vendor contracts and relationships to ensure optimal pricing and service levels 
  • Represents the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate 
  • Serves as liaison between users, operations, programming personnel and external supporting resources in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting 
  • Develops/selects and conducts user training on an as-needed basis 
  • Develops and maintains a Disaster Recovery Plan for the company network 
  • Develops, updates, and provides training on company policies related to information technology within the group 
  • Ensures that ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements for use of technology are met in accordance with Technology Control Plan 
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

  • Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 
  • 5 years minimum experience managing and/or working at a senior level in an information technology department
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
  • Experience in information systems selection and implementation processes 
  • Experience with, but not limited to, MS Exchange Administration, Cisco, Active Directory, Fortigate VPN, Sharepoint 
  • Knowledge of various hardware and software products, including Navision ERP software 
  • Technical experience in Local Area and Wide Area Networks, wireless network technologies 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Patience while supporting users and managing multiple project demands 
  • Ability to work independently to meet performance expectations 
  • Excellent project management skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Project software 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Experience developing and implementing IT organizational policies 
  • Ability to be on-call to ensure optimal up-time for company systems, including early mornings, nights or weekends as needed 
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including international travel 
  • Knowledge of NIST-171 cybersecurity requirements 
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification a plus
  • Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to sit for long periods 
  • Extensive Keyboarding
