WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Quality Manger will be responsible for facility-wide establishing and maintaining Quality Management System including ISO 9001 compliance, nonconformity processing, customer relations, and supplier monitoring.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Job Responsibilities: 
• Maintain and continuously improve Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001-2008 and any applicable government and customer-defined standards 
• Analyze and report nonconformity levels, cost of poor quality, and other operational objectives through the maintenance of metrics based upon Quality Goals & Objectives.
• Serve as Process Manager in Rheinmetall’s Early Risk Warning System (ERWS) 
• Retain ownership of and continuously improve nonconformity reporting and problem solving processes, both internally and externally including at suppliers and customers 
• Work closely with Purchasing & Engineering
• To evaluate and monitor potential and existing suppliers against company and customer requirements 
• To manage first article approval process for new products / processes 
• Assume lead on external evaluations by customers or government representatives
• Initiate and follow up on actions for quality improvements
• Submit new or updated / revised quality processes or procedures
• Train employees in use of the Quality Management system
• Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art practices and technologies in the area of quality management and ensure that company processes and systems are continuously updated 
• Manage the Internal Audit Program as per QMS & Customer requirements
• Address customer concerns, improve the supply chain results & encourage team members’ professional development. • Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies.

Job Requirements:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

   Experience:

  • 7 years minimum experience with administration of a Quality Management System including ISO 9001 compliance
  • Familiarity with United States defense contracts and requirements

   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 19011
  • Experience with International Automotive Taskforce (IATF) 16949 standard desired
  • Good planning and organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and seek clarification on work assignments/priorities as needed
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and understanding of how to meet requirements of internal and external customers
  • Positive attitude and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work as a contributing member of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with defense contracts and DCMA audits preferred

   Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Extensive Keyboarding
