Summary & Role Information:

As a Junior Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) in the HANA QA Infrastructure team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated people. The main programming language is Python. You will join the team in designing, developing, and improving the HANA build- & test infrastructure to run in the cloud as well as on-premise. You will need the desire for driving automation at every level of our development process. We expect you to continuously research new technologies and development procedures and translate your findings into valuable improvements towards the future architecture of the overall infrastructure.

Experience (Role Requirements):
The required core competencies and skills are as follows:

• University degree in computer science or related technical discipline
• Very good programming knowledge in at least one language (preferably Python)
• Experience with Linux
• Ability to work well in a distributed team
• Very good analytical skills, familiarity with root cause analysis, debugging and analyzing complex problems
• Verbal and written working proficiency in German and English

A plus will be:

• Experience with network & storage systems
• Using container technologies (Docker, Rkt, LXC)
• Experience with cloud computing/orchestration (Mesos, Kubernetes, Terraform)

About the team / Brand / Line of Business:

The HANA QA Infrastructure Team is in charge for developing and operating the platform and applications to support the fully automated SAP HANA development process. Development is based on Open Source components like Linux, Git, Docker and Python.
