WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As Lead Engineer (m/f/d) Anti-tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) you are responsible for managing and overseeig the weapon and sighting system. This will include:

  • Undertaking system level analysis through to specification of weapon system requirements into the internal design team and sub-contractors
  • Identifying Key Risks, issues and develop mitigations
  • Perform trades and balances to determine optimum weapon system design within the sub-system boundaries
  • Applying knowledge of weapon systems including but not limited to Missile Systems, Weapon control systems, Drive systems and Ordnance
  • Supporting the development of weapon mounting systems, weapon control systems and ordnance stowage
  • Generating interface requirements specifications between the Weapon Systems and other turret systems such as the Electrical and Electronic Architecture, Sights and Sensor Systems, Drive Systems and the turret structure
  • Developing ordnance safety standards and requirements for the design, qualification and acceptance of safety critical systems
  • Drafting test procedures and specifications for weapon systems including the specification, design and implementation of test rigs
  • Planning, specifying, conducting and reporting of Weapon system trials at component, Subsystem and System level for both performance and safety

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Successfully completed in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in engineering with weapon and sighting systems
  • Specific technical domain knowledge and practical experience of Missile system integration within the end to end lethality performance chain
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined team of engineering and technical staff
  • Previous defence industry experience in delivering complex platforms/systems is desireable
  • Domain knowledge of turret systems including lethality, survivability, weapon and sighting systems is desireable
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required
