WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Ensuring the cross-divisional function of systems engineer with technical/segmental responsibility
  • Assessment and technical responsibility of quantity structures, implementation efforts, deadlines and costs for the development, integration and commissioning of the segment in consultation with the project management, subcontractors or other external and internal company bodies
  • Independent development of electromechanical systems for (aircraft) vehicles, based on Requirement Based Engineering (V-model) as well as DO-160, Certification Specifications, etc.
  • Review of design/manufacturing documents, strength certificates, complaint notifications, construction deviations as well as technical-logistical documentation
  • Ensuring the completeness and system compatibility of all specifications for internal and external service providers
  • Creation or modification of sample documents of templates at the MPI for release
  • Report all deviations affecting airworthiness to the MPL leader
  • Checking the status of the organisational units providing the services or the designated employees with regard to performance, quality, deadlines and costs

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Degree in aeronautical engineering or similar technical field
  • Experience in the development, design and construction of electromechanical systems
  • Experience in the certification/verification and operation of (aircraft) vehicles/aircraft systems
  • Experience in the application and interpretation of relevant standards (RTCA DO-160, DO-178) and Certification Specifications (CS)
  • Independent and structured way of working, a high degree of commitment and the ability to work in a team
  • Experience in project work and the handling of projects in the field of military/civil aviation technology or comparable projects
  • CAE knowledge and programming experience are an advantage
  • Training in aviation legislation and human factors is desirable
  • Good English and fluent German (spoken and in writing)
