Development Engineer (m/f/d) for the Area of Optics in Düsseldorf

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Design, development and specification of complex optical components and systems for high power lasers
• Simulation of optical systems including tolerance analysis
• Selection, procurement and integration of optical assemblies
• Planning, realization and evaluation of laboratory tests to check the properties of the optical assemblies
• Technical coordination with subcontractors and production partners
• Development or service support on site at manufacturing partners and customers
• Production support during the product launch phase and in the event of technical problems
• Requirement analyses and technical system documentation

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Degree in physics, electrical engineering with a focus on optics, technical optics or precision engineering
• Professional experience in design and development of optical assemblies
• Ideally good knowledge of optical design software Zemax
• Independent working style, flexibility, creativity and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to travel on business
• Secure communication in English
• Secure communication in German
