PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The “Intelligent Enterprise CoE” within SAP IT Services is a small unit with the mission to enable IT to build intelligent solutions with user-centric purpose. To achieve that we bring machine learning and digital assistant technologies into all business processes.
In order to evaluate whether a certain business process or a single step within a process can be (semi-)automated with machine learning, large data sets have to be pre-processed and analyzed, and existing models evaluated. Furthermore, services have to be deployed for use in other teams.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The student is supposed to work on Machine learning topics with LSTM in focus, specifically multivariate time series forecasting for parking and traffic data. As part of the Intelligence Enterprise CoE, the student will pursue topics to improve and expand predictions of car park occupancy and related pre-processing steps in order to improve and enhance already developed forecasting services.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master Student
- Computer science / Machine learning / Deep learning
- Python and Machine learning libraries, applying LSTM (multivariate time series forecasting)
- Beneficial/Optional/nice to have: be somewhat familiar with Redis data base
- Basic English and German
- Good communication skills
