PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Within the IEG board area, the development organization “SAP Cloud SME Solutions & Content” contributes to SAP’s next growth wave by ensuring that our customers can purchase and implement their desired business processes in the shortest amount of time. Some of these business processes are covered by SAP’s existing business applications. Here we want to provide a business configuration application that hides unnecessary complexity, provides our customers with an enjoyable shopping-like experience, and focuses on delivering predictable results. Other business processes are highly company specific and therefore not covered by standard software. For these specific cases, we intend to provide companies with a business process platform, which they can use to implement and deliver their unique processes to their customers.

Our 70.000 small and mid-market customers use both SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign. Both solutions will benefit from our new business configuration as well as platform capabilities.

Our ecosystem of ~1.500 partners is very interested in building a flourishing business with our solutions, business engines (e.g. business configuration), and platform.

The SME Innovations unit supports the ambitions of the SME unit by applying new innovative technologies and business practices into the business process platform and solutions on top.

Now, we are looking for an Associate Developer to support us in delivering new innovative business applications and technologies to our customers in the SME market.
 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Design and develop fast prototypes and validate with potential customers
• Co-Innovate with customers
• Develop the first MVP to be used by customers
• Handover of MVPs to standard development
• Learn new technologies and programming paradigms and incorporate them into the SME platform

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Programming skills in Node.js, Javascript, Typescript, CSS
• Knowledge in developing on SAP Cloud Platform or any Hyperscaler platform would be great
• Knowledge of working in agile mode
• Experience in open source frameworks like passport.js, nest.js, loopback.js, vue.js etc
• Great team player
• Creative out-of-the box thinking
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong customer focus
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly and applying them in relevant development
• Strong sense of commitment and responsibility
• Openness to work in a culturally diverse group
• Fluent German and English language skills

WORK EXPERIENCE

Excellent degree in computer science or equivalent fields.
