PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

At SAP we engineer solutions to fuel innovation, foster equality and spread opportunity for our employees and customers across borders and cultures. The Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP Leonardo Machine Learning and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market-driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value. As part of the T&I board area the Strategic Backing department is a technology-focused team that was built to provide the backbone for shaping the future generations of SAP software.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Are tangibility and visual storytelling aspects you think about when creating something new? Are you constantly willing to learn? Great! Together we will create hands-on prototypes and showcases for products and concepts. This includes the creation of visual designs, mockups, as well as the design of 2D and 3D models for 3D printing and laser cutting.
In this position you will also have the possibility to be the first one to try out evaluating new hardware and technologies (e.g. new solutions in the field of VR/AR and 3D-printing) and present it to colleagues and external audiences in workshops.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences:
• Studying preferably in the fields: Design or Computer Science
• Having the following computer skills: 
• Use of 2D/3D modeling tools
• Creation of visual designs
• Experience with 3D printing
• English and German fluently     
• You are creative, a team player and constantly willing to learn 
• You have experience in giving workshops
