PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of SAP’s Global Controlling Organization in the Board Area of Global Finance and Administration (GFA), our team supports the Intelligent Enterprise Group in all financially relevant questions, challenges and tasks:

• Budget planning, forecasting and closing
• Financial reporting & analytics and decision support
• Governance, compliance & financial steering

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

During the internship, you will be guaranteed to gain deep insight into a state-of-the-art controlling department by supporting

• Analysis and reporting for business units and cross topics on numerous accounts and dimensions;
• Analysis and support for strategic and operations steering, such as investigating financial investments and de-investment decisions;
• preparation of (periodic) business reviews, topic- and ad-hoc related reporting;
• Master data maintenance of our and compliance to the given controlling structures;
• Ad-hoc tasks and special projects;
• The duration of the internship should be at least six months.
• After a successful completion, a working student / thesis extension might be offered.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field of study with focus on Finance/Controlling
• Computer skills: strong MS-Office Skills (esp. Excel and Power Point); first experience in Controlling with SAP CO/FI is desirable
• Language skills: fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Personal skills: strong ability for teamwork, high degree of own initiative and willingness to learn; distinct analytical thinking and accurate working attitude
• First practical experiences in a Controlling/Finance related function is a plus
