PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a passionate developer to strengthen our Strategic Customer Engagement team to solve real customer problems through machine learning, AI and other advanced technologies. This position is meant for you if you are looking for an exciting opportunity to explore new areas, to apply machine learning and build cloud solutions to solve complex business challenges.
As Strategic Customer Engagement, we engage with selected customers on their problems and turn them into innovative solutions. Through implementing Proof of Concepts based on customer’s own data and systems we demonstrate the business value of our approach and promote SAP’s Technology portfolio.
Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will be part of a small team of specialists in various areas and jointly work on customer facing projects of 1 to 3 months each. Your activities will include:
Analyzing customer data and evolve machine learning based solutions
Developing applications based on recent technologies
Design and implement user interfaces to expose the respective solution in best appropriate way
Interact with customers in the course of the projects to acquire knowledge and requirements as well as communicate developed results
You will receive a unique chance to learn from various customer situations and problems, as well as to grow your skills learning a multitude of technologies and concepts in the course of the time.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills

• University degree in computer science or closely related technical discipline
• High proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written
• Very good programming skills, preferably in JavaScript, Python and SQL
• Experience with designing and developing user interfaces using current web technologies
• Being a team player working with multiple development teams and across locations
• Ability to “think out of the box” and drive innovation from idea to execution

Preferred skills

• Solid knowledge of software design and software architecture
• Extended knowledge of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence principles and methods
• Proven communication skills for customer facing interactions
