PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP Leonardo Machine Learning and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market-driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.

The T&I Central Engineering team is also well known at the Executive level, resulting in various strategic projects coming directly from the Executive Board and Supervisory Board. In a flexible and fast manner, the Strategic Projects team, consisting of developers, designers, and architects, comes up with tangible solutions for these high-priority inquiries. Our tasks range from creating Keynotes, PoCs, and showcases to producing tangible software and being a respected advisor for other development units.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a (Junior) Developer (f/m/d) for Strategic Projects, you will be part of a technology-focused team that is built to shape the future generations of SAP software.

• What will you do in this team?
• Try to push the potential of different technologies, define and implement prototypes and solve software engineering challenges that come across with latest topics.
• Drive a portfolio decision if and how to invest in a topic.
• Identify and talk to experts in the specific topic area and drive SAP’s presence.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• University degree in computer science or a related field
• Solid programming skills and strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software design
• Curious mindset with the ability to easily move into new topics and latest technology trends and profound knowledge of state-of-the-art cloud and mobile technologies, frameworks, and tools
• Very good English and/or German language skills - written and verbal
