- Together with our product owners, you are responsible for shaping the
video marketplace and the ways our users are consuming video - You design and implement components in an agile and continuous-learning environment that can be easily shipped to our customers. This includes frontend components as well as microservices implemented with node on AWS
- You contribute to peer review sessions with your experience and knowledge about software architecture
- You enjoy what you do, and you are willing to teach and learn new technologies
- You are focused on quality - we are big on Unit Testing (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery and Code Reviews
- You take part in on-call duty for critical services as we apply a "you build it, you run it" policy
Your essential experience and education
- You have experience in building applications with JavaScript in a test-driven environment
- Ideally you have experience in building microservices with Node.js
- Furthermore it would be a plus if you have already worked with Amazon
Web Services - You are interested in software craftsmanship
- Experience with other programming languages (go, python, erlang) would be a plus as well as experience with react
- You have strong analytical capability, discipline, commitment and enthusiasm
- Fluent verbal and written English skills are required, German language skills are a plus

Tech stack
- We are building with mainly vanilla JavaScript in a very quality-focused and test-driven environment
- To run our product infrastructure, we utilize various AWS services (e.g. S3, CloudFront, Elastic Beanstalk, Docker)
- We are using various tools (NPM, Travis, ...) to employ our continuous delivery pipeline
- To solve our frontend rendering tasks we are mainly using react
