The Machine Learning Engineering Team is immersed since over 6 years in on-prem real-time data & event processing. Now a new journey to modularize the tech stack and move to the cloud has started: all while continuing to develop innovative, data-based products and solutions for customers and partners.
Current products and tasks include:
- Real-time marketing campaigns: we reach millions of customers who use these campaigns regularly. They include Location-based campaigns, raffles, real-time Coupon Assignments
- Embedding of ML Models in new and existing products
- Operation and continuous improvement of the tech stack
Current Tech Stack:
- Architecture & Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Cassandra, ELK, Oracle
- Languages: Java, Python, Scala, Groovy
- Build & Deployment: Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, Helm, Kubeflow
- Quality Assurance: Test automation & management, Spock, scalatest, Gatling
YOUR TASKS
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of an agile, DevOps team of up to 8 machine learning engineers and developers
- Personal and professional development of your team members
- A hands-on approach with your team, be it in coding of new features or in operations of existing applications
- Actively develop the tech & data strategy of the team
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Business, as well as with other Tech and Data Teams (especially the Data Science Team) to ensure that product-centered solutions have the proper technical grounding
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 3 years of work experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer/ Senior Java Developer / IT Team Lead
- In-depth knowledge of at least 3 elements from our current tech stack and good understanding of database technologies and architectures
- Ideally cloud experience
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices
- A passion for building performant teams and systems
- A solution-oriented approach and a sense of responsibility
- Good communication skills
