SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION

As a (Junior) Developer (f/m/d) you will be working in the HANA Core development team located in Walldorf and you will desing, code, test and deliver robust persistence functionalities for SAP's database HANA. The HANA persistence layer is the foundation for central business critical features like relational tables, non-relational as well as object-oriented store, High Availability, Backup and Recovery and more.
You can expect to write software implementations using primarily C++, write regression tests for your own code using different programming languages (e.g. C++, Python, SQL) and testing frameworks (e.g. Google C++ Testing Framework). You will conduct code reviews and code audits to spot opportunities for improvements with respect to usability, testability, supportability, or potential performance penalties, as well as integrating the implementations into the HANA Cloud operations framework.

EXPERIENCE / ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent degree (Bsc, Msc, PhD) in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
• Strong C++ programming skills and experience in implementing performance-critical algorithms
• First C++ Unit Test skills
• Experience with continuous integration concepts and tools e.g. Git, Gerrit
• Ability to analyze and debug complex problems
• Fluent English and German language skills
