WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As Lead Engineer (m/f/d) Turret you are a professional engineer with applied working knowledge of Systems Engineering, Lethality, Survivability, Weapon and Sighting systems. This will include:
- Undertaking system level analysis through to specification of sub-system requirements into the internal design team and sub-contractors
- Performing system level trades and balances to determine optimum architectural design within the system design boundaries for the vehicle
- Taking the responsibility for the overall Turret performance, providing assurance of meeting key performance requirements (PHit, Protection, DRI) through analysis and test
- Generating interface requirements specifications between Hull, Turret, Electrical and Electronic Architecture, Weapon, Sensor and Survivability subsystems
- Understanding of Electro Optic Protection Measures
- Planning, specifying, conducting and reporting of Turret system level trials for both performance and safety
- Understanding of weight management and ability to identify and implement weight saving opportunities
- Development of mechanical and logical interfaces of the Turret sub-system into the wider system design. Management of a team of Engineers and Designers including Speciality subject matter experts for FEA, Operational Environment, EMC, Human Factors, Safety, Security, Environmental and Legislation
- Drafting and implement a Turret development program including managing budgets and schedules
- Leading milestone reviews and run regular internal and customer working groups
- Identifying key risks, issues and develop mitigations
