Developing cloud solutions at SAP comprises several tasks in an iterative process starting with a problem definition and reaching over software design, coding, testing and quality assurance to documentation.

In this position, you’ll get the chance to:

• Work with modern technologies like Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry or Docker.
• Help automating our operations and configuration.
• Contribute to the OpenJDK and other open-source projects we are engaged with.
• Nurture and connect with SAP customers.
• Write internal documentation, including code reviews for new features as well as descriptions of APIs.
• Collaborate with teams across the company from product management to support to other parts of engineering.
• Use agile software development practices and work closely with our customers and stakeholders to gather feedback early and channel it into our products.
• Care about accessibility and the way your work affects others

Required Expertise

Having a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a related discipline is a good starting point for your career at SAP.

In addition, you should have strong technical expertise and excellent analytical skills.

As an interdisciplinary and international team, we would appreciate our team members to be excellent communicators and fluent in English and German.

Preferred Expertise

Experience in modern object-oriented programming and in using and administering Linux systems is an advantage, as is knowledge of cloud infrastructures and container technologies and of how to automate the boring stuff.

First touch points with open source software would be helpful.

This position is suitable for recent graduates and for candidates looking to return to software development.
