About the Team

In the Master Data Orchestration team, we focus on building microservices on SAP Cloud Platform to provide reusable services to support the management of master data like Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Product Master etc. in the cloud. These services deliver orchestration capabilities which include features like Data Distribution and Data Ownership. They are elementary for operating master data belonging to distributed cloud solutions. MDM Orchestration supports loosely coupled integration of shared master data in the cloud and hybrid landscapes.

We are looking for talented, goal oriented, motivated and proactive team players with excellent technical, problem solving, and communication skills coupled with a willingness to take initiative and effectively apply the knowledge gained towards accomplishment of project/program goals. 

Our team is a highly motivated and empowered scrum team of experienced JavaScript and Java developers as well as UI designers, technical writers and product experts. The team offers a great variety and diversity and is known for its fun at work and its sense of humor. We practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.

The position tasks would include, but are not limited to: 

• Responsibility for development with focus on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of specific product features in a development team. Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code.
• Taking full responsibility for accepted tasks and reliably executing these with well-balanced focus on quality, usability and speed. 
• Working closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhancing skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
• Being a continuous learner with strong customer focus combined with business acumen.

Role Requirements

Required skills

• Expertise in JAVA, JAVA Script and Eclipse framework
• Work experience in GitHub, pipeline concepts and build processes
• Expertise in SAP UI 5.0, HANA is preferable 
• Willing to embrace or experienced with agile development practices, including test-driven-development, pair programming and code reviews
• Excellent German and English language skills - written and verbal
• University degree in Informatics/ Computer Sciences or related field
• Programming background in JAVA and JavaScript
• Experience with UI5

Preferred skills

• Background in using master data objects in standard business processes
• Experience in cloud environment and/or experience with cloud development tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, Selenium
• Experience in ABAP OO
• Technical skills in Node.js / OData Services / ReasonML

Work Experience
Up to 3 years of experience in Software Development
