PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for thesis students (f/m/d) who have an attitude for translating modern supply chain business requirements into highly scalable optimization solutions. The candidate will support SAP Supply Chain Management and Logistics development with a strong focus on design, architecture and implementation of high performing planning algorithms.
The planning procedures are characterized by high scalability concerning the volume to be planned (procedure efficiency), broad functionality and seamless integrations into the SCM applications. The solution will natively exploit SAP’s state-of-the-art capabilities in SAP Cloud Platform.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute with her or his thesis in the conceptions and development of the “next generation” planning solution that with SAP’s leadership will be introduced into leading companies across multiple industries worldwide. The thesis topics offered are from the field of logistics and supply chain optimization.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Studying preferably in the fields: Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable
• Having the following computer skills: very good knowledge in C++ or another object-oriented language    
• Speaking German and English fluently
• Besides that, you are a team player with strong communication, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Others: Experience in Optimization and Operation Research know-how is an advantage; ideally familiar with agile development methodology;
