Located in the heart of Berlin, BASF Services Europe brings together an international team of around 2,000 colleagues, with over 50 different nationalities, working in our Finance, Controlling, HR and Procurement departments. The performance and expertise of over 200 of our BASF companies in the whole of Europe are collected together in our BASF Shared Service Center.

What you can expect

In our unit HR Services Europe, our fantastic and dynamic team France provides master data and payroll services to our group companies in France.

  • You prepare and process the monthly payroll and implement, improve and maintain administrative HR processes in our IT system SAP HR.
  • For this you are in close cooperation with our local HR Business Partners in France as well as our internal service departments in Berlin.
  • You monitor and translate legal texts & requirements into a SAP environment for the technical community.
  • Furthermore, you ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements concerning our HR services are met by providing regular controls and rigorous attention to details.
  • You contribute to our knowledge management by documenting all processes and relevant legal regulations in accordance with our high-quality standards.
  • After your on-the-job training on the above tasks, you will get the chance to collaborate in internal projects and encourage the best practices sharing amongst our European payroll teams
What we expect

  • Motivated and reliable, you have a strong interest in HR/payroll and you have gained first relevant experience within a similar position.
  • Alongside your proactive service-oriented approach, you adapt easily to a fast-changing work environment and take personal initiatives.
  • Being a strong team player, you are able to actively engage with your colleagues.
  • Taking pride in your work with exceptional attention to detail you have the ability to be well-organised under pressure.
  • Curious and with a strong growth mindset you are driven to constantly learn.
  • You are fluent in French and you have a good level of English and/or German.
  • Your excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and experience with SAP HR is a plus.
