PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Our team has the mission to design and develop a massively scalable, multi-tenant aware and extremely fast data management system solve today’s data integration challenges. Our data management platform serves a multitude of different and exciting use cases from Data Warehouses, Business Planning, Machine Learning and IoT. Central part of the system is a server-less infrastructure for data-flow execution based on containers and Kubernetes. We have extensive cooperation possibilities with universities and research institutes. We are looking for fresh graduates to bring their talents to the SAP Data Intelligence Core team. 
 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As an engineer in the SAP Data Intelligence Core team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.

You will need to:
•    Identify relevant technology trends and drive education in related domains.
•    Understand customer requirements and conceptualize your ideas to bring them into our product.
•    Write meticulous software implementations throughout the whole software stack.
•    Perform code reviews to spot opportunities for improvements with respect to usability, testability, supportability, or potential performance penalties.
•    Write regression tests for your own code using different programming languages (Go, Python) and industry-standard testing frameworks.
•    Continually enhance your existing skills and seek new areas for personal development.

Your tasks will include developing new concepts in the following areas:
•    Fault tolerance and security.
•    Cloud-native development.
•    Docker and Kubernetes.
•    Deployment on Azure, AWS, GCP and SAP Cloud Platform.
•    Data pipeline engine and low-code environments.
•    Data storage technologies (S3, ADL, GCS, ADL).
•    Integration into SAP and non-SAP systems.
 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills:
•    Very good university degree in computer science or related fields.
•    Strong competencies in data structure, algorithms, and software design.
•    Solid programming skills in one or more of Go, Java,  C++, C#.
•    Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Preferred skills:

• Programming skills in Python, JavaScript are a plus.
• German language skills are beneficial.
